Mary Larson

Mary Larson joined M2C in January of 2001 as a senior member of the team. She comes to us by way of the Mitchell Madison Group, where she founded and built the firm's global marketing practice. Prior to working with the Mitchell Madison Group, Mary served as the head of new business development at Alcan Aluminum and subsequently as the vice president of corporate development for a $600-million snack-food manufacturer. In addition, Mary has also run her own consulting firm, Larson & Company, and worked in McKinsey's Canadian practice.

For the past two decades, Mary has helped leading North American companies in a wide range of industries develop and implement innovative business growth strategies and multi-channel marketing programs. Specifically, her work has encompassed development of business-to-business, e-retail, and traditional channel strategies, using customer relationship management techniques to improve the effectiveness of sales and marketing activities, and managing the organizational and cultural shifts necessary to make the new programs succeed. Her clients have included Chase Private Banking, the Royal Bank of Canada, GE Capital, Federated, General Mills, Aetna, Amarada Hess, and Corning.

Over the years, Mary has gained strong experience in sales effectiveness, channel integration, strategic precision marketing, and customer relationship management (ranging from intelligent segmentation to contact center optimization to loyalty-building programs). In almost every client situation, she has designed and implemented integrated business strategies, involving considerable focus on organization redesign, skills development, and cultural shifts. The payoff from those integrated efforts has been measured in substantial returns to both top and bottom lines.

At M2C, Mary is focused on providing high-value advice on how to integrate "old" and "new" marketing technologies to enable clients to radically—and profitably—enhance their customer relationships.

Mary graduated from Princeton in 1975, and earned her M.B.A. at Stanford in 1979. She currently lives in Montreal with her husband and seven-year old son.
